NALEO hiring bilingual (Spanish) phone canvassers to help with U.S. Census count

The 2010 U.S. Census is coming and we need an accurate count! Census data is used for a variety of purposes, including determining how much state and federal funding we get for schools, health care, and other important programs.

The National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) Eduction Fund is launching a GOTC (Get-Out-The-Count) effort through which bilingual canvassers will call 120,000 households in some of the hardest-to-count areas of Los Angeles County.

NALEO is looking to hire 60 bilingual canvassers in the Los Angeles area. These positions are part-time and the compensation is $9.50 per hour. More information is available on the flyer (click on it to enlarge) or by contacting Elva Pullenayegam at epullenayegam@naleo.org.
