Greater Echo Park Elysian Neighborhood Council open house

On Saturday I attended the first Echo Park Block Party and the opening of the Greater Echo Park Elysian Neighborhood Council's (GEPENC) new office and community center.

The Neighborhood Council worked with the property's owner (Bank of America) to lease the office space, which sat vacant for about four years. This weekend it was the site of a lively gathering where neighbors met each other, toured the new space, and enjoyed food and deejayed music.
