Properly discard analog televisions!

Originally uploaded by CD-13
Today, when broadcasting shifts from analog to digital, the Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation wants to remind residents to properly discard analog televisions, antennas, and other electronic equipment. The Bureau of Sanitation has six S.A.F.E. (Solvents, Automotives, Flammables and Electronics) Centers in Los Angeles for the disposal of hazardous waste. The Bureau of Sanitation recycles a large amount of material from electronic waste, and there is no charge to individuals who discard hazardous waste at their facilities.

For more information and to find the S.A.F.E. Center closest to you, please visit the Bureau of Sanitation’s website here or call 1-800-98-TOXIC.
