LA’s BEST, our city's nationally-recognized after school program that serves over 28,000 Los Angeles children, is participating in the U.S. Open Access Challenge 2009. If LA’s BEST can raise $4,000 from at least 50 different donors by June 30, they will receive a permanent spot on www.globalgiving.com, and will gain access to a broader spectrum of donors. All funds raised will benefit LA’s BEST After School Arts Program, which brings artists to LA’s BEST sites for 10-week programs in visual and performing arts.
