A note for citrus tree owners

The Asian Citrus Psyllid has been found in Los Angeles County and can be a carrier of a tree disease called Huanglongbing (HLB). Although HLB is not harmful to human health, there is no cure for an infected tree and the tree will eventually die. Citrus tree owners can help stop the disease from spreading by inspecting their trees monthly.

For more information, visit www.CaliforniaCitrusThreat.org. Those who believe they may have found a psyllid can call the California Department of Food and Agriculture hotline at 800/491-1899 or the L.A. County Agriculture Commissioner at 626/575-5451.
