Hear narratives of the blind and visually-impaired on November 30

On November 30 at 1 p.m., the Weingart Center at the Braille Institute (741 N. Vermont Ave) will present Perspectives: Stories of the Blind and Visually-Impaired.

This collection of personal and family narratives were collected over three months of storytelling and oral history workshops directed by playwright and Council District 13 Artist-in-Residence Henry Ong. The evening will feature Braille Institute community volunteers and students, including Joey Barker (pictured as a child) who will present a story about how he became blind from a shootout when he was 15 years-old.
