Think your salsa sizzles? Enter the annual "Seize the Sizzle" salsa contest at the Echo Park Farmers' Market this Friday night. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. in the parking lot off Logan Street (south of Sunset Boulevard).
The contest is free and open to all market patrons, farmers, and vendors who participate in the weekly markets. Participation is limited to the first 30 contestants and all are encouraged to use fresh ingredients from the market. Prizes will include cookbooks, cookware, and gift certificates for restaurants and businesses.
