FAQ: Simple tips to make riding public transit a more efficient experience for all

Do your part to help Los Angeles Metro trains run efficiently by following these simple tips to make sure riding the Red Line or other LA Metro trains is a great experience for all Angelenos.

  • When riding the escalators, remember to stand on the right and walk on the left. If you're standing, make sure that other passengers can pass you so that they can catch their bus connections and get where they need to go.
  • Let other passengers off of the train before you board.
  • Have your money ready at ticket kiosks so the line can move quickly.
  • Give priority seating to disabled or elderly passengers who board the train.
Enjoy the ride!
