New water conservation incentives through LADWP

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) is offering new incentives to encourage customers to replace grass lawns with drought tolerant plants.

The new Residential Drought Resistant Landscaping Program will offer single family residential customers $1 for each square foot of turf that they remove and replace with drought tolerant plants, mulching, or water-permeable hardscapes. Customer’s plans must be approved by the LADWP prior to installation, and LADWP Water Conservation staff will conduct pre- and post-installation audits of all applicants’ landscapes.

For more information on how you can participate in the Residential Drought Resistant Landscape Incentive Program, call 888-376-3314. To find out about other LADWP rebate and incentive opportunities visit http://www.ladwp.com/.
