Meet in the Middle 4 Equality Kick-Off

On Saturday, I joined thousands of Californians at the kick-off of the statewide grassroots Meet in the Middle 4 Equality event, organized in response to the recent California Supreme Court case that upheld Proposition 8.

Activists from all over the state traveled to Fresno in solidarity with the LGBT community. There, they canvassed neighborhoods to raise awareness and understanding of the LGBT community and the fight for marriage equality.

This was just another step in the long march toward full equality for this community--we will continue to fight for same-sex couples to have the same rights under the law as other couples.
