Clean-up at the LA River this Saturday

Volunteers are needed to help with the 20th Annual L.A. River Clean Up hosted by Friends of the Los Angeles River, Blake Lofts, and Frogtown Artwalk.

The clean-up will be held on Saturday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to noon. The gathering point is the Blake Lofts at 1839 Blake Avenue along a stretch with a natural river bed and lots of beautiful trees and birds.

Volunteers are asked to help make this a green event by bringing their own reusable water bottles as well as work gloves, sturdy shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Sun-block and a hat are also recommended. Water, light snacks and hand sanitizer will be provided.
