Crosswalks in Hi-F

Safe to cross, stylish to see.

The new crosswalks at Temple and Hoover, installed by our Bureau of Street Services (or BOSS) are a first for L.A.: custom-designed patterns. This pattern is based on a traditional Filipino weave design. As part of the Temple Streetscape Project, the intersections of Temple and Glendale and Temple and Alvarado will get crosswalks over the next couple of weeks. Keep your eyes peeled for the crosswalks (and, as always, for the pedestrians using them).

UPDATE: Thanks to Congressmember Xavier Becerra's good work on appropriations matters, the streetscape project has been funded with an additional $400,000. And Congressmember Becerra also won CD13 $1.12 million for badly needed street lighting in Elysian Valley. Thank you!
