Filipino War Veterans

I introduced legislation to put the city on record in favor of L.A.-area U.S. Representative Juanita Millender-McDonald's bill to provide veteran's benefits for the Filipino soldiers who fought for the United States in World War II. There are more than 12,000 Filipino veterans living in California, and 46,000 in the Philippines. Justice has been delayed for these veterans, who fought side-by-side with U.S. soliders.
